Earthquake Turkey 06-02-2023

On the night of 8 to 9 September 2023, a devastating earthquake of magnitude 6.8 occurred in Morocco at a depth of about 18 km.

The first seismic waves reached the Wiechert earthquake station in Göttingen, 2700 km away, after about 5.3 minutes and were accurately recorded there by the modern seismometer as station GTTG of the German Regional Network.
